Cat Scratching? No. Unusual? Yes.
Almost two weeks ago it started raining here in Southeastern Wisconsin at about 3:00 on a Saturday afternoon.
It continued off and on until the next day.
At our place in Waukesha County by 7:00 a.m. Sunday, our rain gauge, pictured at right, was showing a total of more than five inches had fallen. It didn't quite overflow but it got close. That's a fishing bobber floating in the collection bowl.
This downpour and smaller rainfalls that followed in subsequent days is what has caused so much misery in the Midwest.
